Time to party!!

This was the week we’ve all been waiting for. Okay, well not everyone…lol! My family and I are all set to celebrate this little big guy’s FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

12 months=1 year in case you didn't know :D

12 months=1 year in case you didn’t know πŸ˜€

The official day was this past Wednesday and unfortunately, our new 1 year old was home sick 😦 He wasn’t able to face plant himself in chocolate cake then but he’s definitely well enough to give it a go at his party tomorrow πŸ™‚

I wasn’t able to run after Wednesday and Thursday as I was home with my son. Today will be spent taking care of last minute party planning but I’ll be heading out for my long run tomorrow morning before the festivities begin. His birthday theme is Summer Fun, I’m Turning ONE and we’ll have plenty of water activities because, well…

Yesterday's temps...

At least it’ll be a cool 108 tomorrow…

giphy I hope you all have a great weekend!! Who’s running, who’s racing??

What’s your favorite way to celebrate your birthday?

  1. Happy Birthday to the little one! That first birthday is kind of a big deal! πŸ˜‰
I’ve got my first long run of marathon training this weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it, (luckily the temperature for my run will probably be about 20 degrees less than yours! yow!)

  2. Happy birthday little man! So much fun celebrating their BIG birthdays! Hope you have a great run tomorrow and awesome time celebrating. I love celebrating with my family and friends around with good food!
Not racing THIS weekend but have some runs planned πŸ™‚

  3. Happy Birthday Ben!! Yay!! I have been home with my two sick kids this week too! Running was put on the back burner but will out before the sun comes up tomorrow. πŸ˜‰

  4. Awww, happy birthday little man!! I don’t care to celebrate my birthday really. I’ve never been a big birthday person. But I wouldn’t object to my hubby letting me have a day to myself on my birthday that’s coming up in about 6 weeks πŸ™‚

  5. My goodness it’s hot there! I’ll try and remember that when I think it’s hot on my long run tomorrow. Happy Birthday to your little guy! My favorite way to celebrate is with ice-cream!

  6. Happy Birthday to your little guy! πŸ™‚ I always had pool parties and did water activities growing up for my birthday in May, which is still warm, but I would totally take May over these temps we’re having now…I love how on the weather channels they say we’re heading for a “cool down” when it’s anything below 110 haha. I hope you and your family have a fantastic weekend of celebrations!
